PARACHINAR: More than 130 students fainted after taking poisonousstuff from the canteens of several schools here on Thursday, officialsources said. They said over 130 schoolchildren in Parachinar fainted afterconsuming poisonous stuff. The children were shifted to the Agency Headquarters Hospital inParachinar where they were provided with medical treatment. Talking to reporters, Agency Surgeon DrMoeenBegum, said that all theaffected children were in stable condition. The doctors said that the students fainted due to consuming poisonous food. The schoolchildren told reporters they started vomiting after eating thefood and drinking the water. The political administration collected samples of the food stuff from thecanteens and have started an investigation. On Wednesday around 90 students had fainted after eating food stufffrom the canteen of a private school.Member National Assembly,SajidHussainTuri, asked the government toorder a high level investigation into the incident.
Woman found dead in Malakand: A woman was found murdered in Dargai tehsil of Malakand Agency on Thursday, official sources said. Unidentified persons slaughtered the woman and threw her body at a deserted area in Musa Mina area of Dargai tehsil, the sources said. After being informed by the locals, the officials of the Malakand Levies reached the spot and shifted the body to a hospital in Dargai for autopsy and identification. The Malakand levies have registered a case.
